Education

  1. PhD Candidate Computer Science Engineering

    Ghent University, Belgium
My doctoral research, titled Urban Sensor Intelligence: Advancing Privacy-Preserving Smart City Surveillance in the City of Things Era, was conducted under the guidance of Prof Pieter Simoens and Prof Sam Leroux. This project was fully funded by the AI Flanders strategic research program of the Flemish Government. Authored a total of five publications, consisting of three first-author articles in international peer-reviewed journals (e.g., IEEE Pervasive Computing, Sensors, and Frontiers in Robotics and AI), one co-authored journal article(Applied Intelligence), and one peer-reviewed workshop paper. I will have my internal PhD defense in early October and expect to graduate by the end of the year.
  2. MSc Computer and Communication Engineering

    National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan

GPA: 4.3/4.5 Thesis on Spatiotemporal Coherence based Annotation Placement for Surveillance Videos.

Supervised by Prof Pau-Choo Chung. Authored four first-author publications, including a journal article in IEEE TCSVT, culminating in a thesis that received two national Best Thesis awards. Simultaneously, led a project team to develop an award-winning driver monitoring system, securing three international and national awards.

  3. BSc Electrical Engineering

    National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan

    Relevant Graduate-Level Course:

    • Digital Image Processing 83/100
    • Introduction to Neural Networks 87/100
